An event taking place in late January is giving Schererville families a chance to celebrate their bond.
The Great Gatsby Mother & Son Dance is an event which will take place twice. The dance is an opportunity for moms and their boys to spend some time together, socializing and partying in a space that is decorated to fit the theme of the era the story is based in. This era is the 1920s.
A DJ will be providing the soundtrack to the festivities. There will also be a photographer so the moms can take home a professionally done picture as a memory. For more casual photos, guests can partake in unlimited access to the event’s photo booth. The booth will have props tailored to the Gatsby theme.
A catering spread will be available for attendees to grab food from. In addition, a dessert bar will offer some sweet treats.
Tickets must be purchased prior to the event. Both adults and children are required to have one. The price is $28 for Schererville residents, while people from outside the city have a $34 fee. An account on the city’s website is required to be able to buy tickets.
The venue is the Schererville Community Center. Flyer printing is a promotion technique often used to promote dances. The first event will run between 6:00pm and 9:00pm on January 30th. The second will take place during the same timeframe on January 31st.
