A sportsmanship dinner and fundraiser is being organized in Schererville, bringing the community together to raise money for youth athletics and scholarships.
The 2025 71st Annual Sportsmanship Dinner, organized by the Northwest Indiana Sportsmanship Committee, will kick off in a few weeks. The dinner will feature a famous keynote speaker, local professional athlete LaTroy Hawkins, who shares his thoughts on the importance of competition and sportsmanship. Hawkins is the current Special Assistant for Baseball Operations for the Minnesota Twins.
The event has raised over $335,000 in scholarship money to give to local athletes, acting as the premier social event for athletes in the Schererville area, and heralds the start of the Indiana High School Basketball Sectional Tournament. Printing services are a fantastic way for small and local businesses and event sponsors to build brand awareness while enhancing the gathering’s atmosphere.
Tickets cover the price of meals and will go toward funding scholarships. Corporate sponsorship slots are available to local brands who want to support a good cause in the community. Spots are limited, and large crowds are expected, so interested parties are encouraged to make reservations while spots remain.
The Halls of St. George will host the sportsmanship dinner on Monday, February 24. The dinner and speeches will start at 6:30 PM. Tickets include dinner and cost $75 per guest online.
