Schererville event keeps kids active

An activity taking place in Schererville in a month will be keeping children moving in a fun way.

The Safety Village Easter Egg Hunt is an event focused on entertaining children with a festive and exciting game. With more than 11,000 eggs full of treats and prizes, each group of egg hunters will have plenty of opportunities to fill up their baskets with a colorful collection. The event is co-sponsored by the Local 150 of the International Union of Operating Engineers and the Schererville Central Lions Club.

There will be a trio of age groups in each of the three runs during the event. The overall age range is 2 to 12 years old. Via QR Codes on the flyer, which can be located on AllEvents.in, parents can register their kids for one of the three hunting periods, which are at 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 1:00 pm. Participation will cost $5 in cash, or $5.50 for those paying with debit or credit cards. Registering prior to the event is required.

In addition to the hunts, families can enjoy a selection of food vendors, meetings with Bluey and the Easter Bunny, picture opportunities with popular princesses, a table full of raffles, and Easter-themed photo ops.

The festivities are taking place at 1350 Eagle Ridge Dr. Brochure printing is a common promotion technique for many holiday-themed events. The venue will open for the event at 10:00 am and wrap up at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 19.
