A group of characters from an international brand will be taking part in an early May event that Schererville residents are sure to enjoy.
Fiesta Para Mama with Hello Kitty & Friends is an activity where families can interact with a trio of Sanrio characters and enjoy a meal with fellow fans if they so choose. Characters attending the meet & greet include Kuromi, Hello Kitty, and My Melody.
Sanrio is a company that was established in Tokyo, Japan in 1960 under the name Yamanashi Silk Center Co., Ltd. The character it is most known for, Hello Kitty, was first created in 1974.
The event is organized by Gifts from the Heart, with contributions from Mama Bear Events. Included with the tickets, which are available on EventBrite, is access to the experience, a gift bag, and a coupon for the restaurant which is serving as the venue. The price is $23.18, including fees. Photos with the characters and food from the venue are not included in this price.
The gift bag contains a craft project with versions for both children and adults, candy, a coloring book, and Promotional Products from Sanrio. Many similar events will offer bundles like this as an additional incentive. The venue for the social experience is La Loteria Mexican Bar & Grill, which is located a few miles from Schererville in Merrillville. The party will run between 10:00am and 12:00pm on May 10th.
