Workshop to capture beauty of winter barns
The McHenry area is home to many hidden gems that can become beautiful when viewed through a camera's lens. A tour has been planned that will give camera buffs a chance to see and photograph some of its old barns, and anyone who is interested is welcome to be part of the day.
Arrangements have been made for the group to stop at several locations, and at each, the participants will be invited to take some photos from the road. Instruction will be provided, and the goal is to spend at least 15 minutes at each of the stops.
Those who register for the day are asked to meet in Huntley in the Jewel Parking Lot at 8:00 am, and the group will head out from there. If the winter weather is not suitable for a road trip, the organizers will work with the registrants to come up with an alternative, such as credit for a different workshop or rescheduling the event.
While everyone is welcome to join in the activity, those who have mobility or other special needs are asked to inform the organizers ahead of time to discuss how they can be accommodated. Liability waivers and other business forms for an event like this can be designed by stationery printers.
This opportunity for photo hounds to capture the stark beauty of a rural winter will be offered on February 2nd. The registration fee is $126.
