Wine lovers and collectors will begin converging on McHenry later this spring as local organizers have announced a day of wine samples and shopping downtown.
The 2026 Spring Sip Wine Walk has announced an official date for this year’s shopping and sipping extravaganza, and interested parties will want to save the date on their calendar. Attendees will be treated to an evening filled with wine samples, with over 40 curated options available. It will provide a convenient and fun setting for enthusiasts to discover new favorite wineries and vintages.
In addition to the plethora of wine samples, visitors can stop into participating shops in downtown McHenry. These local businesses will have sweet treats and other goods available, with the event helping to put them on the map. Print shops can provide eye-catching promotional tools, detailed maps, and lists of participating stores in town to ensure the best visitor experience.
Appetizers will be available to snack on throughout the evening, and each participant will get a commemorative wine glass, a themed swag bag, and a complimentary bottle of wine while supplies last. The shopping experience will be held rain or shine.
Veteran’s Memorial Park, located on Pearl Street in McHenry, will be the starting point for the sip-and-shop session. It’s scheduled to open at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 9th. Tickets can be purchased online for $50 per person.
