A community celebration is coming to McHenry this March, giving residents and visitors a chance to celebrate Irish culture at a favorite local venue.
The McHenry ShamROCKS the Fox 2026 gathering is coming to McHenry, bringing the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day to town and providing a fun setting for members of the community to come together and celebrate. The event, which will span the entire weekend, will continue the tradition of the town’s favorite holiday.
Attendees can expect to experience Irish traditions and culture while enjoying live music from local bands and musicians. The gathering will provide a family-friendly environment, ensuring all interested parties can join the fun. A beer tent will provide a space for those over 21 to enjoy beverages, and food trucks will provide snacks and meals throughout the weekend. The Shamrock Shuffle, a themed run through town, will also be held, followed by a St. Patrick’s Day Parade and fireworks show.
The party will be held in downtown McHenry, starting on Friday, March 13 at 8:00 AM. The festivities will conclude on Sunday, March 15 at 9:00 PM. Interested parties can attend free of charge.
