Tournaments will help local charities
McHenry is set to host two golf tournaments this month, both of which will be held in support of charity.
The first competition planned, 18 Holes for Homes, is a fundraising event for Habitat for Humanity. Golf fees will include 18 holes, the use of a cart, and lunch and dinner. The cost is $150 per golfer, or $550 for a foursome; dinner only is $25.
The next day, a Golf Outing of the Donna Frett Organ Donation Foundation will be held. Fees are $75 per person or $25 for dinner only. Included in the price are nine holes of golf, an all-you-can-eat dinner, beverage carts on the green, a silent auction, and on-course contests. Sponsorships are available from $50 up to $250.
Both events will also serve as networking opportunities for local professionals, as there will definitely be the chance to discuss business on the course. This may mean that some of those planning to attend will contact their favorite McHenry print company to order more business cards.
