New Year to begin with charity events
There are two upcoming events taking place in McHenry County that will help raise funds for local nonprofit organizations.
The first event to take place will be the 6th annual Royal Bunco Bash: Ladies Night Out at Holiday Inn Crystal Lake on January 15. It will benefit several local charities, including Adult and Child Therapy Services (ACTS) and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
Guests will enjoy wine and desserts while they play and they can also take part in a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $35 each or $55 each for a group of 12, which includes two drink tickets for each person, premium seating, and two raffle tickets. Visit the event website for more information.
Later, on January 31, the 25th anniversary celebration lunch and fundraiser for the Land Conservancy of McHenry County is being held at D'Andrea Banquets and Conference Center. There will be food and drinks to enjoy, a silent auction, and a raffle. Several awards are also due to be handed out, as well as recognition of people who have helped the organization.
Tickets for members cost $45 until January 10 and $50 after, or $65 for nonmembers. Tables for 10 are also available for $600. Call 815-337-9502 to learn more.
