Music festival delivers flavor to McHenry area

Food lovers and music enthusiasts are in for a treat next month, as the McHenry Area Rotary is planning a music and food festival for the region.

The 13th Annual McHenry Area Rotary Bands, Brews, and BBQ music festival will start in a few weeks. It will be a memorable event where attendees can enjoy music and food in the company of friends, family, and like-minded individuals. The McHenry Auto Dealers’ Association and the McHenry Outdoor Theater are sponsoring the event.

The musical lineup will start with The John Todd Band and Jimmy Nick on Friday evening. Local bands RealTime Noise, 8 Miles South, and Recaptured will headline the musical performances on Saturday. Tennessee Whiskey and Wildwood Country will close out the festival weekend with performances on Sunday. Banner printing is a colorful and striking way to welcome artists and bands to the stage at such festivals.

The event is the premier fundraiser for the McHenry Area Rotary. All proceeds will go to local, regional, national, and international programs that help in times of need. Much of the money raised will go toward restocking food banks and helping health clinics.

The show will be held at McHenry Petersen Park starting on Friday, August 16th, with the gates opening at 4:30 PM. The event will conclude on Sunday, August 18th. General admission one-day tickets cost $7.50 and can be purchased online.
