The Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, TLS Veterans, the McHenry County Community Foundation, the Veteran’s Assistance Commission, and the Illinois Department of Employment Security have come together to sponsor two veteran-related events that will be taking place in McHenry, Illinois on April 27.

The first event is called the Veterans Resource Fair and will be taking place at the McHenry Veterans of Foreign Wars center on 3002 West Route 120 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. The Veterans Resource Fair event will focus on delivering information about services such as healthcare, education, and financial help that is available to veterans from local to federal level.

The second event is called the Employment Event and will be taking place at the McHenry post from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The Employment Event will have employers who are seeking to employ veterans. The first 30 minutes of the event will only be open to veterans and those who are currently serving, but the remainder will be open to anyone who chooses to attend.

Along with these events, veterans will also be able to eat a free lunch and have access to services such as legal counseling and disability claims screenings.
