Local stores team up to recycle paint
The Laskowski ACE Hardware stores located in Lake County have collaborated with EarthPaint, a non-profit organization in the Chicago area, to gather used and unwanted paint from residents for recycling.
EarthPaint has been engaged in paint recycling for the last decade, producing a durable and eco-friendly paint product suitable for any project. Besides the environmental benefits, the organization also contributes to the community by offering job opportunities to adults with disabilities.
Any non-profit organization or school in the region can obtain free recycled paint from EarthPaint, which may be of particular interest to any not-for-profit art or graphic design campaigns. Chris McCarthy, EarthPaint’s founder, commented that this move is an attempt to help make it easier and more affordable to do something good for the environment.
