What's Happening in McHenry, IL…

Local college holds info sessions

This fall, McHenry County College’s University Center is organizing several informative gatherings.

Each event will commence with an introduction to the University Center, followed by opportunities for aspiring students to engage with the Center's representatives from affiliated educational institutions such as Northern Illinois University, Aurora University, and Roosevelt University. Brochure printing could be used to share details about an event’s participants.

Participants in these sessions will have the chance to inquire about a range of topics including degree programs, admissions procedures, transfer credit policies, tuition fees, available classes, and forthcoming internship and career pathways.
Kailley Harmon, the University Center’s executive director, commented to say:

"We're very excited to bring degree programs from several universities close to home for our McHenry County community. The students we've talked to so far can't wait to receive more information and connect with our university partners about Fall 2024 admissions."

The sessions are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on October 25th; 6 p.m. on November 7th; 2:30 p.m. on November 15th (conducted via Zoom); and 6 p.m. on December 12th. Early registration is recommended to secure a spot.

The MCC's University Center recently revealed its intention to establish a presence in downtown Woodstock by fall 2024. This facility empowers nearby students to pursue bachelor's as well as advanced degrees conveniently, providing both financial benefits and specialized on-site assistance.
