The Johnson Public Library will partner with the Homeschool Resource Center to bring a flea market for home-schoolers. The event will take place next month in McHenry.
At the event, home-schoolers will have the chance to buy and sell Books and other materials. There will also be tables where entrants can pick up free materials. These events usually employ banner printing to help entrants find what they are looking for.
The flea market will also give participants a chance to learn more about home-schooling. Sellers and other home-schoolers will be at the event to answer any questions entrants have. Workshops are also planned for the event.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, the flea market will not actually happen at the library. Instead, it will be hosted by Dreiske Moving and Storage, which can be found on 3203 Lakeside Court. Entry for the event is free. The flea market will open at 9:30 AM on June 12 and end at 2:00 PM.
Anyone looking to participate as a seller must register for a free ticket. They must then arrive at the site with their own tables and materials by 9:00 AM. Buyers should bring cash and can drop by anytime during the event. If buying, no pre-registration is required.
Organizers are also looking for volunteers to assist with the event.
