Haunted Hayride coming to Peterson Park

In the spirit of Halloween, the Wonder Lake Water Show Ski Team will be hosting a Haunted Hayride event at Peterson Park in McHenry, Illinois this month.

The ride will travel through an imaginary world known as Deadwood, where a villain named Henry Deadwood takes over Peterson Park and parties with his friends. Every October, the Wonder Lake Water Show Ski Team invites the public to come into the park and attempt to capture Henry Deadwood and his friends. As yet, no one who has gone through the park has been able to capture him.

Going with this story, visitors will be driving through the park, listening to the story as it is narrated by the driver, and visiting several scenes that showcase Deadwood’s ability to party hard.

Two Haunted Hayride events have already taken place, last Friday and Saturday (October 13 and 14). There will be only two more rides that will be taking place, and these are thing Friday and Saturday (October 20 and 21) from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Admission is priced at $8 per person and a portion of the money raised will go towards a local charity. Parking will be free and refreshments will be available.
