Farm hosts horse-riding summer camp

The Woodwind Farms Horse Lover’s Camp is open to school-age horseback riders who are looking to get started with horse-riding, or fine-tune their skills.

Each camp will have a minimum of five riders per session and the upper limit is 15 students. The camp is scheduled mid-week so that the children still to get to enjoy the long weekend during their summer off. The camp is appropriate for riders aged between five years old and ten years old, regardless of how much experience they already have.

Parents are advised to pack some food and water for their children. The camp runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm which gives the children plenty of time to have as much fun with the horses as possible before going home for lunch.

Riders are requested to attend wearing long pants and shoes with closed toes, such as boots or reliable gym shoes. Proper riding attire is an option if they already own a set. Helmets will be provided for those who do not have their own. Riding gear often features the Logo Design of the company that produced it.

The Woodwind Farms Horse Lovers Camp will start on June 14 and will run for three days until June 16. The farm is located on at 2910 S Justen Road in McHenry. Tickets for all three days are going for $285.
