Cinderella ballet brings European production to Joliet

United European Ballet will bring a two-act production of Cinderella to Joliet this November.

The production will be combining classical dance with theatrical scenery, costumes and Sergei Prokofiev’s well-known score.

The family-oriented production follows Cinderella from a difficult home life to the royal ball, where her encounter with the Prince changes her future. International dancers will perform choreography designed to blend traditional ballet technique with storytelling, humor and romance.

The staging includes hand-painted scenery and costumes made by European designers. Classical Arts Entertainment, led by Michael Art, is promoting the production. The performance includes one intermission and is recommended for audiences age 3 and older.

Tickets begin at $45, with additional service or processing fees potentially added depending on the method of purchase. Doors will open one hour before the performance, giving patrons time to find their seats before the curtain rises.

The production is intended for both long-time ballet audiences and families introducing younger viewers to live dance. Its combination of familiar storytelling, orchestral music and elaborate theatrical design provides an accessible entry point into classical ballet.

Performing arts events such as this one often use poster printing to promote production imagery, performance times and ticket information.

Cinderella is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3rd, at 7 PM at Rialto Square Theatre, 102 N. Chicago St, Joliet, Illinois. Doors open at 6 PM.
