Summer’s end is just around the corner, and Barrington families looking for an opportunity to gather with the community and celebrate should make a note in their Journals.
Family Fest 2026 has announced the official date for this year’s celebration in Barrington for this August, with the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce organizing the festivities. The family-friendly experience will feature local businesses, organizations, and a load of fun activities and entertainment to see off the end of the season in style.
Families with young children will find plenty for their little ones to do, while older children can participate in the festival’s games and witness a magic show. Therapy animals will also be at this year’s gathering, allowing local children to become familiar with being around animals. Banner printing has a long track-record of helping organizers welcome visitors to events like this.
A pet parade will also be held, with the “Best Dressed” pet being awarded a prize. Pets are welcome to attend the festival with their owners though they must remain leashed. Free parking will be available, though Barrington residents are welcome to walk or ride their bikes to the host site.
Citizen’s Park in Barrington will host Family Fest 2026. The gates will open at noon on Saturday, August 15th, with the festival ending at 4:00 PM. Admission is free and open to the public.
