A musical celebration of the United States of America is coming to Barrington this summer in the form of a brass and percussion show, courtesy of a local symphony.
The Patriotic Brass & Percussion in the Park with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra is allowing local families to incorporate the performance into their plans. The show will be held in an outdoor setting, and those who attend are encouraged to bring a picnic to witness the show.
It will serve as a continuation of the Barrington community’s Independence Day tradition. For the 250th anniversary, the Barrington White House has arranged for the Illinois Council of Orchestras’ 2025 conductor of the year, Chad Goodman, to lead the way. Banner printing is a powerful and memorable way to welcome visitors and guests to outdoor concerts and events like this.
The show will feature historic anthems and other popular tunes put together in a celebration of the nation’s birthday. Chairs and blankets are welcome at the host venue. Attendees will want to check the weather forecast and dress according to the conditions for the show.
Citizens Park, located on North Lake Zurich Road in Barrington, will host the musical performance, which is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1 at 6:30 PM. Admission is free and open to the public, and reservations can be made online.
