Historian explores American Revolution in Barrington

Local history enthusiasts and Barrington community members who wish to take a deeper dive into the American Revolution will get their chance when an award-winning historian visits this June.

The American Revolution in a Series of Paintings exhibit, which is being led by Dr. Patrick Griffin, will offer a unique way for history lovers and Barrington residents to learn more about the country’s earliest days. Dr. Griffin will use art as the vessel to shed light on different events and share his insights on national identity.

Visitors will get to see several different works of art related to the American Revolution through the eyes of an expert. Dr. Griffin has experience as a visiting professor at England’s Oxford University and currently works as a Professor of History at the University of Notre Dame. The promotional resources gained through flyer printing services offer a cost-effective way to spread the word of community events like this to residents.

Guests will learn how early Americans shaped what sovereignty and rights looked like, and strip away the myths attached to the Revolution. It is being presented by the Barrington Cultural Commission.

Barrington’s White House is set to host Dr. Griffin’s exhibit and learning experience on Saturday, June 13, starting at 11:00 AM. General admission tickets can be purchased online for $25 per person.
