Music enthusiasts will want to make a note in their Journals for next month, as a Grammy-nominated vocalist is slated to open the Fall 2025 season in Barrington.
Nnenna Freelon's season-opening performance has a date in the Barrington calendar, with interested parties welcome to attend and listen. Freelon will sing numbers from Beneath the Skin, her original jazz album. The performance will be held in an intimate setting, allowing attendees to enjoy a memorable show.
Freelon has been nominated for seven Grammy Awards during her musical career and is known for her lively performances. Critics have described her as one of the top jazz vocalists of her generation.
Released in March this year, Beneath the Skin is her first album of original compositions. Professional poster printing is an excellent way to promote such shows in the community by combining text and a compelling image to generate interest.
Freelon’s recent performances at the Lincoln Center in New York City experienced a sold-out run and received excellent reviews. Likewise, the upcoming show is expected to be a packed house in Barrington.
The Barrington White House will host the Nnenna Freelon performance on Sunday, September 7 as part of the Fall 2025 concert series. Doors open at 2:30 PM. General admission costs $49.87, and students 18 and under may attend for free.
