A new Hawaiian-style restaurant is celebrating its grand opening in Meridian.
Mo’ Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food is a chain based in Utah, with 10 locations in the state and has now opened its first store in Boise area. It is a family-run restaurant that serves fast casual meals and hearty portions. The specialty of the eatery is its plate lunches, with rice, seasoned meat, such as steak, chicken or pig, and macaroni salad.
Promotional Products can be distributed at such openings to publicize the restaurants unique cuisine and the many items on its menu.
The founders of Mo’ Bettahs are Kalani and Kimo Mack who grew up in Hawaii. With no business plan, no experience, and very little money, they moved to Utah to start the restaurant. They soon discovered that many of the residents of the state had served missions in Polynesia, thereby targeting their restaurant through these channels.
Multitudes of former missionaries frequented the restaurant as they wanted their families and friends to taste the foods where they had served for many years. People from Idaho who have family in Utah became familiar with Mo’ Bettahs and those in Treasure Valley region of Meridian were eager to have such an eatery in their town.
The restaurant is now open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is closed on Sunday.
