Meridian sees new stores and restaurants opening

Two new commercial offerings are now opened or being planned in Meridian.

Albertsons Companies has opened another new store in South Meridian at the intersection of Eagle and Amity Roads. The store has been in development since 2018 and will anchor Firenze Plaza on a site that covers 16 acres and includes other various establishments. Other stores at the plaza are Heartland Dental, Mod Pizza, and a fuel center for Albertsons.

Featured at the store are many of the high-end items that can be found at the Broadway store in Boise and the Market Street store on Fairview in Meridian. The new store is about half the size of the store on Market Street and does not include a restaurant and bar area.

Flyer printing can be used to let those in the community become aware of such openings in the different parts of town.

In addition, there is also the potential for a new Chipotle Restaurant to open on Eagle Road and replace what was once the Barrell 55 restaurant. The restaurant is expected to span 2,325 square feet and have indoor and outdoor dining.

It will have a drive-thru that is called a “Chipotlane” by the brand. The Chipotlane is different in that customers place orders online, pay in advance, and select a time they wish to pick up their order. There is no menu board or speakers so as to help reduce the stacking of cars.
