Meridian looks to develop industrial property

Sawtooth Development Group has submitted to the city of Meridian an application to annex and zone property in the Black Cat Development for a large industrial project.

The property is located on S. Black Cat Road and spans 122 acres. Sawtooth Development believes that this project can become a leading center for business in the region. Banner printing is often sued at such sites to inform the community of such potential projects and their benefits.

The application provides a site plan and elevation that conceptual in the sizes and locations of the buildings and in general as these may change depending on the needs of the tenants. Sawtooth Development added that flexibility is needed so that the needs of different types of tenants can be met.

The plan so far includes a single loaded industrial building with enhanced facades on the eastern part of the property and would provide a transition from the surrounding residential development to one that is more industrial in nature. Office space would face east while warehouse space would be on the western side. There will large light industrial double-loaded buildings on the remainder of the property as well as an outdoor space that can be used for gatherings and other amenities. This could include an outdoor seating area, a court for food trucks, games such as cornhole and bocci ball, and water-conscious landscaping.
