Meridian hosts sale of handmade goods for the holidays

A pop-up holiday store has been opened in the Village of Meridian by the founder of Handmade Idaho, Angela Stewart.

Products are for sale from over 55 artisans in the area, including Sun Valley, McCall, and Treasure Valley. Among the items for sale are home and garden decor, paper goods, textiles, and jewelry. Featured artisans include Clancy Creations, Truffles Etc., and Homemade by Dorothy making specialty food items; Lapinel Arts Leather and 208explore creating Apparel and accessories; Tin Creations making pottery and glass; and jewelry from Local Fox, Unique Twist, and Union Studio Metals.

Often, such artisans look to local Print shops to create Flyers and other printed materials with more information about their handmade products, especially if they have limited time in which to sell them.

There will also be small businesses featured at the store, including Wear Boise, Banana Ink, and LadyBug Press. Stewart said that a big impact is made when people shop from local stores. She added that many of the items will be available for sale online with curbside pickup for those who wouldprefer not to come to the store.

Founded this year, Handmade Idaho has the goal to support local artisans by offering more opportunities for the sale and awareness of their creations. The holiday store will be opened through Sunday, December 27.
