Print Companies in Meridian

Meridian, Idaho, was founded in 1893 on homestead grant land that belonged to Eliza Ann Zenger and her husband, Christian. The Zengers came to Idaho from Utah along with other pioneers, founding the town that has grown into Meridian; the name comes from its location on the Boise Meridian.

Dairy products, irrigation, and agriculture

Many of the first settlers in the area came from Missouri, where rain provided the water needed to grow crops. In the drier West, however, irrigation systems were needed, since access to water was required if a person wanted to receive a patent for land from the U.S. Land Office. The irrigation districts created in the 1800s are still in operation today.

By the early 1900s, the Meridian area boasted fruit orchards that produced a variety of apples and prunes. In 1897, a creamery was built, and soon, other businesses related to the dairy field followed, making Meridian a center for dairy products in Idaho. Meridian still celebrates Dairy Days every June, a festival that has been ongoing since 1929.

The past is clearly important to the city, which maintains a History Center in the Meridian City Hall. Organizations like this can work with Print companies to create short text descriptions and labels for exhibits at the venue.

Business today

Meridian prides itself on being business-friendly, and is creating “Business Enterprise Corridors” where complimentary businesses flourish. There are four corridors: one for technology and health sciences; a second downtown; the third in the northwest; and a final corridor near the Ten Mile Interchange, recently completed on I-84.

In the health and technology corridor, the Treasure Valley Campus of Idaho State University is close to Blue Cross, as well as Bodybuilding.com, and Crucial Technology. In the Downtown Corridor, small businesses and entertainment concerns are encouraged, and in the Northwest Corridor, lifestyle projects like Tree Farm and BridgeTower are rising. Ten Mile Corridor will be home to mixed-use developments with commercial components.

As businesses develop, their professional needs change. In order to present themselves well, they can work with Stationery printers, who will help them create professional Stationery. A letter may be the first contact a person has with a company, so it must make a great first impression.

In addition, they'll want to work with a business card printing company to make sure employees have appropriate cards to use in outreach efforts. The design on the cards should match that of the other Stationery, to make certain the company presents itself as a cohesive brand.

All work and no play...

Although Meridian prides itself on attracting business, there's also plenty of fun. Outdoor enthusiasts have 17 parks to enjoy, including the Meridian Settlers Regional Park, which hosts movies outdoors in the summer. Park officials can help visitors by working with a flyer printing company to create a schedule of park activities.

For those who would rather be inside, the Meridian Symphony Orchestra is now in its 28th season, playing both classical music and popular favorites. Such an organization could work with a postcard printing company to create cards about the ensemble, so people can tell others about the orchestra.

Meridian offers a colorful history, energetic present, and bright future.
