A community of tiny homes may be coming to Meridian.
Alpha Development Group is looking to create a community of tiny homes on the southwest corner of Meridian and Victory Roads on a parcel of land that spans just over 16 acres. The development would be called Klein Huis, the Dutch words for “tiny home,” and would have 134 single family homes for rent.
The development will have a mix of units with one, two, or three bedrooms, and each unit will be one story high. The three-bedroom units would cover 1,290 square feet, the two-bedroom units will be 950 square feet in size, and the one-bedroom units will be close to 650 square feet. The units will be oriented in different directions to break up the exterior spaces and will be made of different exterior materials consistent with the architectural standards of the city. More details about such communities and their amenities are often provided with brochure printing.
There will be an attached garage for some of the three-bedroom units. There will be an additional 290 parking spaces, of which 134 will be covered.
There will also be open space for residents with other amenities, including a pool and a clubhouse. More features to be added will be determined once a demographic study is undertaken in the community.
