Young entrepreneurs get boost in Fayetteville

Business concepts aren’t topics often discussed in elementary classrooms, but local business leaders have planned an engaging event to teach such concepts to young people.

Junior Entrepreneurs in Training (JET), an organization centered on teaching entrepreneurship to young people, has announced the Children’s Business Fair. The event is designed to give children a chance to learn and grow business skills in a relaxed yet realistic environment. Kids will showcase their products or services in a one-day market and even receive two training sessions to help them prepare for the event. Although a parent may help with the application or setup process, the child has full responsibility for promotion and selling at the event. Poster printing and other products from Print shops promote businesses.

JET was founded in 2022 by Florence McDulland, a Fayetteville resident. She also founded Limitless Education & Training, Inc. with the aim of imparting business skills to individuals across all age groups. This is the 3rd event hosted by JET.

The JET Children’s Business Fair will occur on Saturday, April 25th, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. The venue is Fayette County Library, located at 1821 Heritage Parkway. The organizers will accept up to 20 businesses, and each requires its own application on the official website. The event is organized with assistance from the Acton Children’s Business Fair team, based in Austin, TX.
