A run event will be held in Fayetteville this April.
Called Band on the Run, it will be a one-mile and 5k run. The starting and ending location will be at Starrs Mill High School here in Fayetteville. The track for the race will be along the grounds of the school, as well as gulf cart paths.
The event is put on to support the band program at Starrs Mill High, and money will be raised through the items for sale. The event will entail students sending and welcoming back the runners participating. Participants are also encouraged to turn up wearing costumes, as there will be awards given to the individuals wearing the best ones.
Those who wish to register in person are welcome to do so at 7:30 am on the morning of the event, while online can be arranged through the school band website. The event costs $25 to attend. Individuals who register by March 31st are guaranteed to receive a T-shirt for the event. Those arriving by car can park by the football stadium in the student parking area.
Banner printing is a great way for event organizers to mark the start and finish of each run at events such as this one.
The event will take place on April 22. Participants will be able to pick up their packets at 7:30 am. The 5k run will start at 8:30 am and the one-mile run will begin at 8:00 am.
