Loverboy first got together in Calgary, Canada, in 1979 and is now based in Vancouver. The band got their career off to a flying start, making their live debut that same year as the opening act at a KISS concert. In 1980, they recorded and released their debut self-titled album, which sold more than one million copies in Canada and two million more in the United States. Also in 1980, Loverboy went on a grueling tour, appearing at more than 200 performances with bands like Def Leppard, Kansas, ZZ Top, and Cheap Trick. They have continued to tour extensively.
In their 30-year career, Loverboy has sold over 10 million albums, been awarded four multi-platinum plaques, and had three double-platinum releases from their first album. Their most popular song, and one which can still be heard on various platforms, is the anthem-rock classic, “Working for the Weekend.” Other hits include “Turn Me Loose,” “The Kid is Hot Tonite,” and “Heaven in Your Eyes.”

Loverboy will be at the Brightmoor-Southern Ground Amphitheater in Fayetteville on July 24; their opening act has not been announced yet. The gates will open at 7:00 pm. Poster printing can be used to create stunning advertising for this type of event.
