Pinewood Forrest, a new housing development now rising in Fayetteville, will also have a wellness center included, according to a recent article in the Fayette News.
Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Pinewood Forrest itself, and Pace Lynch Corporation announced they are joining to create a medically integrated, innovative wellness center in the community.
Piedmont’s CEO, Michael Burnett, explained how a wellness center differs from a gym or other fitness facility. A wellness center has medical professionals tracking and overseeing its programs, and the environment provides space for a number of disciplines. Some people might be swimming laps while others take a hot yoga class, and still others go through physical therapy.
The facility will be two stories in height and offer 60,000 square feet of space, and will help residents remain both healthy and active, since being proactive with regard to health can help people avoid developing chronic conditions that lead to more serious problems.
The center’s amenities will include both a therapy pool and a lap pool with six lanes, a number of fitness studios, and 18,000 square feet of space to be used for fitness activities. The center will also have a glass wall that allows people to observe the development’s central park, and more than 15 miles of paths and trails that lead through both the community and a nature preserve.
Projects like this can benefit if developers create illustrated Brochures to show potential residents the site’s amenities.
