New Sears store to open in Fayetteville
Crossman & Company, one of the biggest retail investment, management, and leasing companies in the Southeast, negotiated a lease recently.
Crossman worked out a seven-year lease for a new Sears, which will be located at the Banks Crossing Shopping Center. The center is at I-85 North and Highway 441 South in Fayetteville and comprises 256,671 square feet, with Kroger and J.C. Penney as its anchor tenants. Other tenants include Cricket Wireless, Sally Beauty Supply, and Planet Fitness.
The center's landlord is Nightingale Realty LLC, a New York City firm. Crossman's Sherri Mann, a senior associate, negotiated the lease as the landlord's representative.
This Sears location is known as a ‘Sears Hometown Store’, and will offer a wide variety of lawn and garden products, as well as appliances and other consumer goods. The location will also be the site of a Sears Nationwide Service facility, which provides parts for the products, as well as delivery and installation if requested. There will also be a pickup function for items sold via Sears.com.
The store has no exact opening date, but is slated to be up and running some time in the latter half of January.
The store's management might enjoy working with a banner printing company on fun banners to hang throughout the store in order to celebrate the opening.
