A local organization is hosting a breakfast to help women grow their businesses.
The Fayette County Women in Business is putting on a Business Breakfast mixer. The event promises to be dynamic and interesting, as the organization works to support women business owners in Henry County, Fayette County, the Southern Crescent, and the surrounding area, and help them grow their companies.
Edward Johnson, the mayor of Fayetteville, will attend, as will GlenNeta Griffin, an entrepreneur and actress. Griffin has appeared in more than 10 films, and is a producer, writer, and director. She is known for “Making the Drumline: In Pursuit of Snare,” in which she plays the mother of a boy who hopes to make it into the drumline.
Organizers encourage those attending the breakfast to bring their Business Cards, and be prepared to meet and network with key people in the area, and in particular, with the women running local businesses. Organizers encourage everyone to start the new year with goals in mind, a clear vision, and the network contacts necessary for a great year.
The breakfast will take place at the Georgia Media Academy on Glynn Street North, in Fayetteville. The meal is included in the meeting, which is set for February 12, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. Business Cards are a traditional outreach tool, and are often distributed at events like this.
