Jazzy event coming to Fayetteville

An event featuring some of everyone's favorite music is on the way to Fayetteville.

The Historic Train Depot in Fayetteville's downtown will be the place to be soon, for an event called “An Intimate Night of Live Music & Dance.” The Obewi Band will be playing music in some very popular genres including jazz, R&B, blues, Motown, and oldies. The band generally plays for older audiences who enjoy these iconic Forms of music.

All the band members are professional musicians, entertainers, and composers who have been playing throughout the world, working with such artists as S.O.S. Band, a group in Northern Cyprus, as well as Cameo, Millie Jackson, Outkast, and Keith Sweat.

Lloyd Oby is the band leader, and he and his band mates have developed a program that showcases jazz, blues, and southern soul at their best. Audience members should be prepared to sing along as they get up and dance to the songs everyone knows well.

The Obewi Band appears in Fayetteville on March 6, from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm. The depot dates back to 1902, and was built by the Atlanta and Ft. Valley Railroad Company. Banner printing can be used to create unique decorations for venues like this.
