Fayetteville is getting set to celebrate Georgia Cities Week with eight days of events for residents to enjoy.
The Georgia Municipal Association is the creator of Georgia Cities Week, which it started in order to highlight how municipalities improve their residents' quality of life. All during the week, the City of Fayetteville will organize and manage events designed to promote civic engagement. Banner printing can make celebrations like this even more festive.
The week starts on a Saturday, with the Run the Ridge race, an annual 5K event held at the Ridge Nature Area on Fayetteville's west side. On that same day, Easterpalooza takes place in the city's downtown, at the Old Fayette County Courthouse. Sunday brings an Easter Sunrise Service, while the Monday is devoted a photo contest of ‘Business Besties’, with a drawing and fun prizes for the winners.
Georgia Cities Week runs from April 20 through April 27. The 5K Run the Ridge and the Easterpalooza are scheduled for April 20. The race begins at 8:00 am, and the Easterpalooza goes from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. ‘Business Besties’ is all day April 22, and April 23 is Public Safety Day.
On April 24, the city is holding Shred & Recycle Day at City Hall, from 9:00 am until noon, and April 25 is Customer Service Day, while the next day is Employee Appreciation Day, both held at City Hall. The week winds up with the Church Street Park Festival on April 27.
