Families looking for a fun, healthy, charitable, and child-friendly event this Halloween are in luck, as the LaTonique Juicery will be holding a "book and block party event."
Officially dubbed the “Trick or Healthy Treat Book Event,” the event will feature gifts, music, healthy treats, and free smoothies. Kids will also be able to bring and wear their costumes and have Books signed by author Jermia Jerdine, who write “No Way, Tré, You Can't Have It Your Way: Fruit Instead Of Junk Food Today.”
As well as being an author, Jerdine is also the founder of the non-profit organization Fresh Start Kidz, to which 100% of the event's profits will be donated. Much like her book, the organization's goal centers on health - it wishes to help improve the lives of all families, but especially those living in poverty, by teaching them how to live nutritious and healthy lifestyles. Groups like this often make their efforts known with the help of brochure printing services, and those who wish to learn more about what the group does can visit the Fresh Start Kidz Facebook page.
The date of the event will be Sunday, October 31, which is Halloween itself, and the time will be from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. The venue, LaTonique Juicery, is located at 1988 Georgia 54 in Fayetteville.
