The City of Fayetteville plans a special treat for residents of all ages, with ‘Moovie Night’ on the way.
Later this month, families and people of all ages will have the treat of meeting Moana, the heroine of the eponymous Disney film, and watch her adventures on a big screen.
The film will be shown in Fayetteville's Historic Downtown district, at the Southern Ground Amphitheater, where Chick-fil-A will serve kids under 12 with free meals; the restaurant promises surprises for the youngsters. Adults and teens will be able to purchase Chick-fil-A food as well. In addition, there will be a meet-and-greet with Moana herself.
The hit film is the story of the young girl Moana, who is the daughter of a chief and is in line to become the next chief of their Polynesian village. He has only one rule: no one is allowed to sail beyond the reef. When the island starts to die though, Moana suggests their only option is to explore the open ocean. When her father refuses to allow this, she goes on her own, and teams up with the demigod Maui to retrieve a fabulous jewel and restore her island.
The event runs from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm this Friday, August 18, with Moana starting at sundown. Outdoor events that take place at night have a special atmosphere about them, which organizers can enhance by using colorful Banners to decorate the venue.
