Fayetteville gets a course in film

The Georgia Film Academy will host a post-production certification program in Fayetteville, commencing this January.

The primary course of the program is the Georgia Film Academy AVID/Media Composer 200. The entire program will feature a series of courses aimed at improving post-production skills using the AVID software. The program consists of 18 credit hours. Each course will improve adeptness and experience with professional equipment and on-set procedures. Courses will also be equipped with basic on-set film production skills and the knowledge needed for industry-standard organization structure with hands-on training with real-world projects. There will also be résumé and job application assistance included in the program.

The program will include courses such as Introduction to Film & Television Post-Production, Fundamentals of Editing with Avid Media Composer 100, and Fundamentals of Sound Design with Avid Pro Tools 100. All introductory courses are a pre-requisite for enrolling in the final course, Advanced Editing with Avid Media Composer 200. More information can be found on the event listing website.

This event will take place from January 9 until April 27 at the Trilith Studio, which is located at 461 Sandy Creek Road, Fayetteville, Georgia. Classes will commence at 9:00 am and end at 3:00 pm.
