Sustainable seafood spot opens in Atlanta

Watchman’s Seafood and Spirits recently opened at Krog Street Market at 99 Krog Street. Complete an upscale and casual design, the design by Square Feet Studio maintains the historic feel of the train station depot.

It has a high ceiling and large windows, and there are plants hanging from the ceiling. Their executive chef is Daniel Chance. He faced the challenge of coming up with a menu that created an identity for the restaurant.

He says he used several French and Italian techniques to keep the menu diverse. The menu has small and large plates that customers can order. He incorporates vermouth in many seafood dishes and used wine in the clams sofrito.

The full-service bar features rum and tonic, daiquiris, martinis, a wine list, and a customized drink menu. There is also an oyster bar that focuses on local Gulf Coast farms. The team wanted to highlight the region’s aquaculture with the oyster bar and sustainable menu.

Watchman’s Seafood and Spirits has seafood appetizers like tuna crudo, steamed clams, crab fritters, grilled oysters, and crispy herring. Main entrees are flat iron steak, whole fish, and flake fish with green pea pesto. There are also serve salads, vegetarian entrees, side dishes, and desserts.

Atlanta has print shops with graphic design services that can design menus and marketing material for restaurants, bars, cafes, coffee shops, businesses, retail stores, and associations.
