With the Atlanta Braves first game having been played on April 1, SunTrust Park and the Battery have several new dining options and activities for fans this season.
SunTrust recently merged with BB & T Bank, and soon after purchased SunTrust Park. The park will eventually be renamed.
The Battery in Atlanta, connected to SunTrust Park, is a collection of retail shops that will have several dining options and activities for fans too.
The park will offer low-cost activities for families, such as games, rock climbing, and a zip line, and families can bring their own food and drink into the park. They can check out a free glove at the retail stand Munzio Gloves and play baseball, all free of charge.
Delaware North, the food vendor for the concession stand at the park, has added some new items to its menu. One is a steak sandwich with sliced beef, mushrooms, fried onions, blue cheese, and arugula on a roll. The Blooper Burger, meanwhile, has four cheeseburgers, a hotdog, and chicken tenders stacked on bread. The vendor cooks food items from six Southern states. Another new item, Fizz, will be fries with tomato sauce, and fried pepperoni, and a burrito measuring a huge two feet long.
Customers will find some menu item accessible at the park from the Battery. Atlanta has Print shops with a graphic design department that designs T-Shirts, Mugs, and tote Bags for businesses like this.
The Punch Bowl at the Battery will serve fried chicken, tacos, fries, alcoholic drinks, and soft drinks. It has video games, ping pong, a bocce court, and karaoke room. The restaurant will serve breakfast too.
El Super Pan, a sandwich restaurant, will open at the Battery too. It will offer Latin and Caribbean sandwiches, appetizers, coffee, seasonal plates, beer, wine, and mixed drinks.
The baseball park itself is located at 755 Battery Avenue SE.
