The 85th annual Dogwood Festival returns to Atlanta next month, hosting artists from across the country.
More than 200,000 attendees from across Georgia and neighboring states are expected to attend this annual festival, dating back to 1936.
This year, Atlanta will host over 260 artists in August at Piedmont Park. Virtually every art medium will be represented at the festival, including painting, sculpture, photography, pottery, jewelry, glasswork, and leather and metal crafts. Each year, the event also includes an art exhibition of work from students at the Atlanta High School.
The event will also feature a Kids Village, where children of all ages can enjoy arts and crafts, face painting, and giant inflatables. The annual Disc Dog Competition will also be held again this year. Live music will be performed at both of the park’s stages, with a full performance schedule to be announced on the event website in the coming weeks before the festival. A wide variety of food trucks and vendors will be on site, including gyros, onion rings, French fries, funnel cakes, and kettle corn.
Event sponsors will have booths throughout the festival, and may offer free samples, Promotional Products, raffle prizes, live radio announcements, and interactive games. A full prospectus will be provided to businesses interested in sponsoring the festival, by contacting Rick Kern at Mixit Marketing.
The 2021 festival will be held on Friday, August 6 from 12:00 to 11:00 PM; Saturday, August 7 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM; and Sunday, August 8 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Piedmont Park is located at 1071 Piedmont Avenue. Admission is free of charge.
