New theme park being planned for Atlanta

Lionsgate is working with Avatron Smart Park, a theme park developer, to open a 100-acre attraction in the area Atlanta, which will feature studio properties such as “Now You See Me” and “The Hunger Games”.

The New York Times recently reported Atlanta’s theme park to open in 2019 is just one of several Lionsgate’s licensing projects. Theme parks are planned for Dubai and China as well. For many, a theme park constructed around an annual competition in which children are pitted in a life and death struggle against each other may seem inappropriate, but it is likely that the more uplifting themes such as the empowerment of a young women will be emphasized.
Possible plans for Lionsgate’s Atlanta theme park might include a recreation of the Katniss’ District 12 home, a tour of Panem (via virtual hovercraft) a rollercoaster designed to represent the high-sped trains connecting the Capitol and various districts’ in the country.

A variety of Promotional Products will be used to attract attention and drum up support as the theme park’s opening day approaches. Color Brochures can provide a preview of the park while a scattering of ad specialties can keep the new attraction in the public’s consciousness.

The last movie in the series, Part 2 of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, opens in theaters November 20th.
