Holidays come to Atlantas Six Flags park

A well-known Atlanta theme park has decked itself out in preparation for the holiday season.

Six Flags Over Georgia has been decorated with festive lights and even falling “snow” as part of its Holiday in the Park celebration. More than 400 trees and a million lights will brighten the darkness of the early winter evenings, and provide an extra level of excitement to the rides.

One a visitor passes through the gates, they will be greeted by 165,000 lights twinkling above them, and staff dressed as wooden soldiers march through the snowflakes. A 25-foot tree has been placed at the end of Main Street, which is lit every evening to the songs sung by carollers in dress reminiscent of ‘A Christmas Carol’.

The park has been divided into a number of sections, each with a different theme, ranging form A Georgia Christmas to Peppermint Plaza. Each has been lit in a color that matches, and has a scent, such as peaches or peppermints, that wafts throughout. Stationery printers can design and produce special holiday coloring Books for the kids who come out to enjoy a day or evening at Six Flags.

Along with all of this are the 24 attractions that will be open and ready for riders. Those who come in the evening will be able to enjoy a special, bird’s eye view of the park and all the brightly lit decorations.
