In February, the Atlanta Symphony Hall will screen Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, plays the film’s score live.
A 40-foot, high-definition screen will play the film while the musicians play the score below.
The Harry Potter film series, as well as the book series by J. K. Rowling on which it is based, tells the story of an orphan wizard boy and his adventures at the magical school Hogwarts. The Goblet of Fire is the fourth film in the series, in which Potter is forced to compete in the dangerous magical competition, The Tri-Wizard Tournament. Parents should be advised that while the Harry Potter series was created with children in mind, young children may find it frightening.
The film score for The Goblet of Fire film won both the ASCAP Film and Television Music Award and the Film Critics Music Award. It was composed by Patrick Doyle, who is also known for composing the scores for the movies Brave and Sense and Sensibility.
