The Grant Park Summer Shade Festival in Atlanta brings two days of exciting activities for adults and children in late summer. It has crafts, games, music, food, a 5K run, craft beer, and an artist’s market.
There will be two stages for bands and musicians to perform. The two stages are the Meadow Stage and Cherokee Stage. Some of the groups playing are Rock A Teens, Front Porch Session Players, Abby Wren and the Ravens, Rust, Jared & Amber, Brian Revels, and Hunter Callahan.
Over 200 artists and craftsmen will be located at the Artists Market. There will be jewelry, perfume, soaps, ceramics, pottery, glass, fine art, photography, toys, illustrations, watches, specialty food items, leather goods, folk art, tie dye, and more.
The Kids Zone has a wide range of activities for kids. They can make an art Print with the Atlanta Art Print Studio or learn about flying from Southern Area Rocketry. Activities available are arts and craft, rides, slides, and a tot’s activity zone, while food vendors will offer a variety of cuisines.
There 5K Run for the park takes place on the Saturday at 7:00 am. Allentown has print shops that design Promotional Products like Mugs, T-Shirts, caps, and key chains for events like this.
The Grant Park Summer Shade Festival will be held on August 24 and 25 from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. The park is located at 800 Cherokee Avenue. Admission is free and paid parking is available.
