A creation of chef Kevin Gillespie, restaurant Cold Beer recently opened in Atlanta.
Two storeys tall and with 7,000 square feet inside, the inside was designed by design firm Ai3 to have a focus on art and architecture.
The covered front patio will seat 70 customers. It has ceiling fans, and wooden picnic style tables with heat lamps and night lights.
The bar seats nine people and has colorful panels located above it. Each panel has preserved flowers, mosses, ferns, and plants arranged by Chef Gillespie. It is called Garden on the Wall.
In the dining room is a large painting of a polar bear on the back wall. The dining rooms has white toned wooden tables and chairs and booths.
Cold Beer has a rooftop patio that will seat about 130 customers. It has its own small kitchen, bar, and a dumbwaiter that connects to the main kitchen. It overlooks the belt line.
They serve custom made cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. The menu has seasonal plates like chilled oysters with honey dew and juniper or raw scallops with lemon verbena and salted buttermilk. The menu does not distinguish between appetizers, main entrees, or dessert.
Shared plates on the menu are beef tartare with vinegar, caraway and Russian dressing, smoked and fried chicken wings, lamb rib with cashew yogurt, cobia a white fish with peppers and sourdough bread sauce.
