The Atlantic Dogwood Festival held in Piedmont Park celebrates the blooming of the dogwood trees. The festival will have musical entertainment, art and crafts vendors, food, rides, and kid’s activities.
The festival has one of the largest juried arts and crafts shows in the US. The show will have glass work, paintings, sculpture, mixed media, wood, clay, photographers, and metal.
Musical entertainment will be performed on the Main Stage and International Stage. Some of the groups on the Main Stage are Jake Bartley Band, The Wesley Pruitt Band, Jessica Meuse, Clay Shelburn and many others.
Family Friday will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 pm. This event offers families a wristband that give access them to unlimited rides and use of inflatables. There is a 20 percent discount on food and drink too.
On Saturday at 8 a.m. the Mimosa 5K will take place for adults and kids. Walkers and runners are welcome to participate. Registration for participants includes a tee-shirt and glass of mimosa for those 21 years and older. There will be a Kids Mini Mimosa 5K for children ages 8 and under.
Atlanta High School will have a student art exhibit in the Community Center. The Kid’s Village will have arts and crafts, inflatables, and games. Atlanta has printing services that design Promotional Products for festivals like this.
There will be a two-day disc dog competition, and many food vendors. The festival is free. It will be held April 12 from Noon to 11 p.m., April 13 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and April 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Piedmont Park is located at 400 Park Drive NE.
