Atlanta residents and visitors will have an opportunity to see one of the most popular Broadway productions in history next week.
Award-winning director Bartlett Sher will bring an authentic version of the Fiddler on the Roof theatrical production to the Fox Theatre.
The original play won 10 Tony Awards, including one for being the longest-running musical on Broadway. The new production taking place at the Fox Theatre incorporates fresh movement along with creative choreography designed by Hofesh Shechter, an acclaimed professional from Israel.
The theme of the play tells the story of timeless traditions, deep-rooted faith, and relationships between daughters and fathers, as well as husbands and wives. The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy favorite songs such as “If I Were a Rich Man,” “Sunrise, Sunset,” and “Tradition.” One of the goals of the producers is to introduce a young generation to the celebration of life, joy, and love through this theatrical favorite.
