Atlanta to host Easter weekend arts festival
The works of more than 125 artists will be displayed in the streets of Atlanta during the 14th annual Sandy Springs Artsapalooza.
Presented by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces, the event is a favorite among families as it includes children’s interactive art activities as well as the annual drop of more than 10,000 Easter eggs. The foundation was created in 2005 to help showcase local artists through events that bring more public exposure to their talents.
It’s a two-day celebration that will include exhibitor booths, tents and displays set up amid food vendors and local musicians.
There will be a broad range of types of art displayed at the festival. 2-D mixed media involves more than one material, such as collage, pen and ink, paper making, watercolor and photography. 3-D mixed media may include papier mache, clay, glass, metal, wood or other three-dimensional objects. Hand-made jewelry crafted from glass, clay, metal, stone and other products will be permitted in the show as well as ceramics, digital arts, drawing and painting, photography, sculpture, and more.
Artists who participate in public shows such as this frequently display their business cards as part of self-promotion.
Artsapalooza will be held in the Sandy Springs area of Atlanta on April 12 and 13, 2025 from 10 am to 5 pm Saturday and 11 am to 5 pm Sunday with the egg drop at 2 pm.
