Atlanta to cool off with ice cream celebration
The Atlanta Ice Cream Festival will be held at Piedmont Park Admission in just under a month’s time.
The event is free and features a number of activities for adults and children. There are wellness activities, ice cream eating contests, games, and ice cream vendors.
There will be a Young Chef Demonstration by the Young Chef Institute. Members own their own food business and will prepare some professionally delivered recipes. The Ice Cream Competition for children and adults will test their ability to eat the most of the sweet treat in a certain amount of time.
The festival will have an All Day Wellness Pavilion. Here, festivalgoers will be able to have specific health screenings for glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol,and more. There will be several wellness activities like Chinese exercises, yoga, boom shock exercises, hula hoop competitions, Frisbee toss, and a jumping rope.
A parking garage is available in the center of the park, and makes for one of the best places to park when coming by car. Fees vary according to the amount to time parked.
Vendors will be there to serve Italian ice, ice cream, soft drinks, and coffee all day. There will be live entertainment too.
